He already does accept donations.
Not the big corporate ones that he's itching to grab.

yeah - and that reflects what's likely to occur next week in PA. - another closed primary, big delegate enchilada. I think something like 189(?) are up for grabs.

Sanders will sweep the big swaths of rural areas in the State - but Clinton will nail it in and around delegate rich Philadelphia, for sure - and probably Pittsburgh, as well.

If you look at a US map of the counties Romney won in '12 without regard to population, you'd think that he won that election by a landslide.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like Sanders can win. I hope Hillary won't have Warren as her running mate, otherwise I'll spend the whole time wishing they could switch.

Got my ballot via email on Friday for the California primary.

Things have changed since last time I voted it seems.

Overseas voters now receive the full California ballot with state and local issues.

Previously only federal offices were on the ballot for overseas voters.

Will take longer to vote then anticipated as now I have to go research these local issues.

On another note there are 34 people listed for US state senator.

In total a 6 page ballot.

Same here.

Except (despite the fact that it's said such an offer 'can't be turned down'), I've felt all along that Warren would never accept.
Doing so would require she subsume all she's believed over the course of her lifetime (and has been successfully fighting for in recent years from her powerful Senatorial seat ) - to a duty to serve the President, first and foremost.

Then I read the following, which convinced me that Warren might very well grab the opportunity....

Why Elizabeth Warren Would Have More Clout As Hillary Clinton's VP

However, the very reasons laid out in that article which now lead me to think she'd accept - are the very reasons I'm convinced Hillary will never choose her!
Bernie's shadow has been spectre enough - having fought to come out from its reach, Hillary's not gonna allow herself to be shadowed once again - not by anyone or anything - if she can help it.

Hillary is more likely to choose somebody who can deliver a swing state. Tim Kaine of Virginia for instance.

I hope she doesn't cynically choose somebody like Julian Castro.

The advantage of Julian Castro could be Texas and it's 38 electoral college votes.

One wonders if we could have faithless electors in the electoral college of Trump is the Rep candidate?

There's no way she's winning Texas. Sam Houston could be her running mate and she'd still lose.

Ten years time however and we could see a dem winning. Scared, selfish, dumb white folk are dying out and hispanics are taking their place.

I have a better chance of winning Texas' electoral votes than does Hillary Clinton.

Most, but not all, states ban faithless electors.

Technically not a ban but the elector could be punished afterwards or their vote voided.

Still 21 States have no kaws against it. Given they tend to be party faithful one wonders.

The only way the old power structure can remain in these states is by countering changing demographics with restrictive voting laws and gerrymandering.....or actually presenting decent policies.
