So there's a debate tomorrow night on MSNBC between Clinton and Sanders. Is this the one that the DNC is trying to sneak in under the radar because the race is so close?

Should be good though now that O'Malley won't be third wheel.

Being on MSNBC, the moderators will probably limit themselves to such searing questions as:

"Secretary Clinton, what disappoints you most about the games the Republicans keep playing with Obamacare; and do you think they will ever join with you in ending their War on Women?"

"Secretary Clinton, do you think the Republicans could recklessly get us into more endless wars that will cost us trillions and the lives of countless thousands of our young men and women?"

"Secretary Clinton, What is your favorite flavour of ice cream?"
--------------------------
"Senator Sanders, when do you think the Republicans will ever join in the effort to narrow the income disparities between the decent, honest people who are working to build this great country and the Wall Street billionaires who are mercilessly exploiting them?"

"Senator Sanders, don't you agree the Republicans are lying to the people of this great country when they claim that their economic plans will better the lives of the people?"

"Senator Sanders, what do you love most about representing the people of the Great State of Vermont in the US Senate?"

Hilarious.

Not to be Captain Obvious but the reason that the debate will be interesting has nothing to do with the moderators. They're about to throw down.

Agreed, the real reason for watching is to see whether Crazie Bernie finally unloads on Hillary in a debate. Then there could be fireworks. Otherwise a snoozer.

I think Rubio's endorsements are about to surpass Jeb's. Bush had been leading the endorsement race for some time, being passed signals where some big money is about to go.

Yup quite a surge for Rubio.

A new poll tonight shows that Trump is still ahead of Cruz but his lead has narrowed considerably while Cruz and Rubio are neck and neck.

Cruz meanwhile has done the dirty on Ben Carson claiming that Carson has dropped out of the race. I hope Carson decides to sue the greasy haired weasel.

Sanders spoke pretty well at the town hall meeting on CNN but I cant help wondering where all the billions. maybe trillions will come from to finance universal health care and provide free college educations.

Despite the recent shootings of black men by cops there are two sides to every story. Around a hundred cops died on duty last year.

Sanders speaking in reply to a question put by a member of the audience asking how he would put a stop to white cops shooting black men in cities like Chicago and Baltimore drew from his vast experience as one time Mayor of Burlington, Vermont that he would "demilitarize the police"

Does this mean that cops working the most dangerous inner city areas will stop looking like army troops, turn in their Kevlar helmets and protective body gear and go back to baseball hats and .38 revolvers?

I like Sanders but he's dangerously out of touch and similar to Trump in making claims about what he would achieve without any sound base to place them on.

Hilary tonight once more demonstrates that she is really the only candidate that hasn't yet moved to planet Zog..

Rubio I wouldn't trust any further than I could throw him. Any politician who declares he's guided by his religious faith has to be extremely dangerous, kind of like the Greg Stilson character in the Dead Zone film

I see one of the moderators is Rachel Maddow. She's a pretty smart person so I very much doubt the debate will play out as Flavius seems to want it to.

I'd have liked to have seen PBS host a couple of debates; too often much of the conversation surrounding the debates is devoted to the perceived political leanings of the network and their moderators.

No. Speaking for Flavius, he laid out how he was afraid the debate would play out since MSNBC is moderating. What we would all like to see is how Hillary would handle being asked some really tough questions instead of the usual softballs. Maybe Rachel will do that, we'll see.

The entertainment value would be vastly increased - making it worth watching - if Bernie would stop refraining from saying anything and everything that might hurt her campaign and help his. He seems like a cranky old sod, but sharp, and could subject her to some withering shots if he really wanted to. It would toughen her for the debates in the general, too.

And Chuck Todd is a pain in the ass so he's not going to be throwing bean bags. FOX certainly hasn't been easy on the Republicans, much to their credit, and MSNBC isn't going to be outdone by FOX.

I'd be wary of polls right now. According to Nate Silver any poll released now was probably conducted before Iowa. Anything reflecting the results of Iowa is still a few days away.

Like the super bowl, the debates are often more about selling advertising (cynic).
