Depends on how the poll question is worded - see: Plurality favor Trump’s Muslim ban in new poll | TheHill

The Hill article compares a Rasmussen and a Bloomberg poll on the same issue with different results, depending on the wording of the question.

Anyway, it seems the party is bent on ensuring that Trump can't win, which will result in a split of the centre-right vote and the election of a politician described by another poster as:
"... an amoral and chronically dishonest career politician with no convictions and a room full of million dollar "advisers" producing polling guidance that she unconvincingly parrots to the lowest common denominator."

God help us all, I hope She's listening.

Trump really said that Muslims should not be allowed into the US until there's a better system in place to check their back grounds more thoroughly. Not that they should be barred out permanently... period

Tashfeen Malik, admitted on a marriage visa came here and killed and wounded over 2 dozen innocent people. Now we find out things in her background that by rights should have raised warning flags before she was admitted. Why are we finding out now?

So exclude all visitors to the U.S. until there's a better system in place.

Who's a Muslim? People identified in their British or Fench or Pakistani passports as such? "Religion: Muslim" And if passports were to identify religion, is that just fanatical believers who wear ritual garments etc.? People who attend religious services fairly regularly? Or more broadly, people of such-and-such "heritage"; for instance, my grandparents were Christian. My parents were married in a church. Presumably, among Muslims there are similarly attenuated religious heritages...

You might find this amazing, but the FBI background check is unable to determine whether someone is going to commit a crime in the future. If her background didn't have anything in it that might suggest that this would happen, then she would be granted the visa.

Trump is more full of shit than the septic tank out back of an Indian restaurant.

The people involved in terrorist attacks are not Muslims.

Just as a stopped clock is right twice a day, he actually almost had a point though.

The terrorists in question are certainly 'Islamist' but they certainly don't represent the Muslim faith any more than people like the Planned Parenthood shooter represent Christianity.

If we continue to demonize Muslims as an entire demographic in the wake of such events, we're just doing ISIS's work for them. Unity is what will bring them down, division is what they want. It's much harder to radicalize a group of people who aren't made to feel marginalized by the wider world.

I've noticed that with most of Boiler's posts. He seems to like it that way.
