As a friend has pointed out, why are people fixated on this one lie by Carson compared to the constant stream of lies from all the other GOP candidates?

Don't worry, after the debate FBN will be liberal.

Conservatives won't be happy until the debates are moderated by Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck.

Any question is a "gotcha" question if the person being asked gives a stupid answer. Even something like "How was your day?"

Or "what newspapers do you read?"

Carson's supporters are on the defensive, saying that he never claimed to have applied for the scholarship and that free schooling counts as a scholarship. So basically, when he said (paraphrasing) "I was offered a full scholarship and turned it down" it actually means "I knew about a college that gives free education in return for military service and I didn't apply to it."

In order to appeal to the GOP faithful, Carson needs to be the reformed Nee-grow who has turned his back on Nee-grow ways. He can't be uppity, etc.

He's in possession of a bit of a boner for Obama ... that never hurts.

No. It was Hannity who interviewed that nitwit Kevin McCarthy, when he said what he said about Gowdy's committee and, I'm certain, that marked him as someone too stupid be Speaker.

Maybe McCarthy would have been more on his guard if he had been interviewed on MSNBC...nah, he's that stupid.

I mean, seriously ... you can't make this stuff up! This is better than the best comedy on TV ...

(no, I'm not pasting a link, I'm just commenting on this entire election cycle as reflected in this thread).

Which is why I'm happy it lasts so long. And that Colbert is back on TV.

I agree, it gives us something to do. A six-week election like the one that just swept Canada...why, we'd just be warming up when the lights go out.

That's obligatory for a GOP candidate. Failing to proclaim ones loathing for Obama is akin to being a communist pinko Muslim atheist Nazi socialist Marxist who hates Baby Jesus.

You forgot to include: racist, sexist, homophobe who steals money from the Crippled Children's Fund and who hit his mother with a hammer.

Yeh, I mean fancy McCarthy being honest about Gowdy's little charade of an "investigation". The horror of it!
