You do not use a refrigerator for proper beer, that is what cellars are for.

Out of interest, when was that ? When we move, we're shipping two of our 1975 landrover 101FC with us, so its of practical interest. That said, the "Rover V8" is actually a Buick engine, and its axles are Dana 60s !

Jan here
I believe he owned his landy in the mid 80's, and the lack of parts support was probably more due to him living in Alaska where getting anything shipped is touch and go. Even recently before we moved we looked at new struts for our ancient Volvo and the shipping was more than the cost of the items }:\

The Rover V-8 was originally a GM design [it is often referred to as a "B-O-P-" engine for "Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac" which were the three "middle" grade cars of GM. Buick is the only one now].

GM introduced the engine in 1960 but discontinued it in 1963. Rover then bought it and the rest is history. As an American engine it is now quite rare.

My Sunbeam Tiger was an interesting amalgamation of parts. Of course, the Ford small-block V-8 [which was quite popular and easy to get parts for]. I remember using a Volvo brake booster [as recommended by "CAT" -- California Association of Tiger Owners]. CAT actually fabricated much in the way of the rubber parts.

That's interesting. Rover bought the design when a fat military contract was in danger of falling through, because their engines were too heavy, or at least that's the story. The 101FC was the first vehicle fitted with it.

Not "safe" to leave attached. And it RUINS the aerodynamics.
