Having a UK passport, i have been told the UK (HULL) is the place for me to get this visa???.
Is it possible anywhere in Asia to get this visa???.
What does a non immigrant o visa mean, i can stay 15 months??
etc etc.
Many thanks.

I'm here.
Firstly I take it that you have no Thai connection, otherwise you could get it in other places in the UK too.
I think Birmingham as well as Hull possibly..
You can get a one year multiple entry for 100 pounds. This will give you 90 days on arrival. Previously you could have extended that ninety days without leaving the country at your lcoal immigration office for another sixty ( 1900 baht ). If your visa is from London you still can.
Otherwise you will have to go on a visa run to Poipet in Cambodia ( the nearest border crossing 4 hours ) and then you will get another ninety days on arrival back in Thailand.
Indeed, if you did this on the last day of your one year visa you would get an extra three months to give you 15 months.
I have never known of a Thai embassy in a neighbouring country giving anything more than a single entry for a non-O.
but as Baked Bean says you could probably pay an agent ( and an agent's fee ) and get a one year visa in Thailand.
My advice would be to just get the one year non-O in the UK and if you still want to stay longer after that join a Thai language course and get an Education visa. It costs a lot ( 25,000ish ) but you only have to do a ninety day report rather than visa runs every 90 days.
Feel free to ask anything else. Traffic is light in the Thailand forum !

What is my best route to take, with least hassle and costs.

The best thing to do is to go down to your local office and ask what they want before you apply. It may vary from place to place. The most important thing is the 400,000. When your year extension is up you don't have to leave the country. You just do another extension , showing the money in the bank and everything else like you did before.
That probably sounds confusing but it's not that bad really so long as you have everything. Most of the people I see getting angry at immigration are the people who didn't find out what was needed and they then get into problems.

You don't have to have 400k in the bank. You can also show them 40,000 Bt coming into your account as foreign earnings each month for the 3 months prior to your application.
