finding a maid in bangkok
Fellow expats,
We - a family of four - are moving to Bangkok in just a couple of weeks. Everything is sorted out, but we still haven't found a maid.
Thus my question:
Is there someone to contact - an agency, maybe? Or do you or somebody you know have a maid who's soon ready for a new family?
We're going to live in the Pattanakarn-Srinakarinda area in a brand new condo.
Thanks,
Esben

Khun Soe has worked for us as a live in maid for the past 18 months. She works independently, is very trustworthy and a great cook of both western and Asian dishes. She speaks Burmese, English & Thai and has a work permit. You can contact Soe directly on <<snip>>

Ask your neighbours and the other people who work in the building - security etc. Often they will have relatives who look for work and they are traceable.
One tip is to do it the Thai way and offer a full time job. I have freinds who have excellent maids several times but since they lived alone and wanted only 3 half days a week or so the maid quits after a few months because they wanted a full time job. Full time would have cost him only 20% more even though it's 4 times the hours and is extremely affordable.
