teaching in bermuda
hey all,
just applied for a science teaching job in bermuda. can nayone give me feedback on what it is like teaching over there? although the salary looks generous, i appreciate that the cost of living is very very high. in the job advert there was no mention of a housing allowance, do schools normally give these?
thanks!

I've been teaching out here for 6yrs and love it. Cost of living is very high - we live in 2bed apartment for $3k/month (and that's cheap) a loaf of bread is $5 etc etc. If you've got a job in a private school - go for it! If it's public, have a good think! I've worked in both and found my first yr in public middle school VERY difficult and I'm not soft, have excellent classroom control am entertaining and a great teacher !! (Blowing my own trumpet ha ha)
I notice your post was in April so you've probably made your mind up by now. Good luck.
