Hi
Could someone please give a brief overview of how skills assessment for Teaching in Australia is completed?

You have to apply to NOOSR. There is a list of everything that you have to include - ie degree certs, transcripts of courses covered and marks gained, references from you rcurrent head stating what your main duties are etc, ref. from previous head. You can download it all from the NOOSR website. As long as yu have done a 4 year degree or 3 year with PGCE it isn't too hard. The hard part is getting info out of your uni.

Thanks for the replying, will contact you if we need any help . Almost newly qualified so have a bit to go before skills assessment, but nice to have information at hand.

My girlfriend has GTP qualification in UK and we want to Emigrate to OZ. I have permanent residency. Does anyone know if she can teach with this qualification ?. Apparently if varies state to state and some people have got in...anyone know of anyone would be great

I'm not sure - sorry. try contacting an migration consultant - they should be able to tell you before you have to sign up with them.
