It doesnt mention the credit amount and I have just received email back from TA and all universities are different and they are mostly concerned with 4 years study. I think I am just complicating things. Where are you thinking of going to? What do you teach? Nicky

Nicky,
I teach DT and ICT so good sponsorship potential and hopefully demand long term. OH is Primary so an area where we could both gain employment would be good.
I have a three year BA, PGCE and two year MA, all University courses form Wales and London. Wasn't a problem getting approved for NZ some four years ago so am hopeful! Have much of the paperwork incase - just need to update statement of service from current employment and ensure contacts at Uni are the same as before.
At present hoping for Vic sponsorship on a 176: failing that NT or ACT: failing that NZ.
What are your circumstances?

Not a good day - Vic sponsorship just removed so plan 2 comes into action.

Can't be certain. I have one for NZ which I need to check but assume will allow me to re-register as a teacher there. I think you would have two years or so.

My advice - for what its worth today - go for it sooner rather than later. The application will probably take 18 months in total and if granted you would have a year to enter and validate and then four years to settle

Hi
who did you get to certify your skills Daddyofthree, we e mailed TA and they had a specific list, but when i checked there FAQ on the application form it says
20. What if I am having difficulty finding someone to certify my documents?
In Australia, certain professionals are eligible to notarise and certify documents. Teaching Australia understands that other countries have different laws regarding notarising and certifying documents.
We accept certification from a person of standing within the community, in accordance with your local regulations. This person could be, for example, someone with five or more years of service as a police office, lawyer, officer of the armed forces, justice of the peace, doctor or pharmacist. Please provide us with their contact details in case we need to speak to them.
You can not choose a person who has a personal connection to you.
we just cant decide who the heck this means, apparantly the local priest is no good but are other teachers good to do it, or dept heads( dont wanna ask headmaster just yet) any suggestions would be welcomed..
thanks
Jason and Andrea

Initially I asked a friend who is Managing Director of Age Concern in Northumberland as he believed he was qualified to do so. He spent 40 mins signing and printing addresses etc. After our agents Live in Australia received my docs they told me I needed to find someone else. I then paid my solicitor £37 to sign, stamp and basically verify my docs. LA have my docs and have emailed me to say they will contact me with further advice. They received my docs on 3rd Jan I think. Hope this helps
