Hey people!

I'm a primary school teacher almost halfway through my first year. Australia has been my dream for about 5 years, been there twice in that time, visited my auntie, who is a resident, and did some travelling. I've researched lots and been to an expo, which was a waste of time, the only thing i got out of it was annoying people ringing me all of the time asking me to use their services!! :-(

I wanted to move to aus straight from uni but realised that I needed a years experience in a full time job before I could even apply, I was on supply for a year but that wasn't good enough. So now I'm in my full time job and I can't stand it, it is the most awful school I've ever worked in. I really want to hand my notice in because it's so bad. The only thing keeping me going is Australia!! keep saying it to myself! Australia, Australia!!

So if, by some miracle, i do make it through this year I can finally start filling out the visa forms but it'll probs take about 2 years after that to process too!! :-( that means it'll be 2012 before i get there!! and i'll be almost 27!! I'm wondering if it's all worth it!

Sorry for the essay, I'm a bit fed up! lol

Bev, I know the whole process of it is disheartening and a long drawn out one at that but never give up on your dream. It will probably be 2012 when we finally get through all the process of relocating to Argentina and I'll be 39 then.

You're never too old to follow a dream, my Mom will be 60 in October and is finally taking the plunge and moving out to Prague this year.
Follow your heart and you will get there one day. I wish you all the best and hope you are successful

Yes, its def worth the hassle of visa application and huge move.

We put off for 20years but have now been in WA for nearly 3years. Our only regret is we didnt get here a lot sooner.
27 is young, dont be daft you still have all your life in front of you.

Australia is great especially if you have a family.
