Really liking it, just got my job sorted for september which is a weight off. Now all I have to worry about is passing!

I'm clear on all the steps now the only thing I'm not sure about is if I have to have completed the years teaching practise before applying to teach australia or if I can apply during that year?

I'm worried as I want to go next summer and I will need to have my TA approval before sending off my visa application. So ideally I would like my TA approval before the end of the academic year so that I can get my visa application going before I begin my travels. If I have to finish the academic year prior to applying then obviously it will not be possible to go summer 2010.

You can apply to teaching australia before you finish your NQT year (congrats on the job by the way) and have that in place. Then when you finish NQT you can put in for your visa.

Good luck.

Hi there,

Argh I'm so confused...
#1 I don't know how to use this thread 'situation'
#2 I've just got all the paper work downloaded for the QLD registration and need help, as this is all too confusing....

Can you offer any ideas?

There do seem to be a lot of physics teacher positions, look at the general science positions that's what I did. Where are you based?

I don't know what jobs are like round there. There were not many in my area, I ended up in London.
