Hi everyone.
I am not a teacher but my wife and I (both nurses) want to move to Australia, probably Queensland area. My wifes son is 14 and she has become concerned by some reports of the state schools not being very good and so wants to send him and his 11 year old sister to private school, especially because of his age (15 this year). Unfortunately our funds would not run to this and so the move looks unlikely unless I could allay her fears.
So what are the standards like, have you heard of any schools where you would not want to send your own kids, or indeed where you would send them!
The lad himself although first seemed keen on the idea of moving now seems reluctant though his 11 year old sister cannot wait to move out! (thats kids for you!)
