Salary in WA - threshold
Hi,
I was wondering if any one could shed some light on what pay I would roughly be on (10years exp) and what would happen to threshold. Would I become main scale and do extra courses to move up?
Thanks
LG

Re: Salary in WA - threshold
You will need to provide references from all past employers to get 10 years experience. Thats what WA education department want.
This needs to say job, date start of employment and finished, hours worked, any time off, etc on letterhead signed and stamped paper.
Dont know for private/Catholic schools.
Payroll ask for this, otherwise they can put you on newly qualified pay!
I think its about seven years experience to get at top. Then you have to apply for senior teacher status etc to move up. ( But we are fairly new so dont know all the details)

Thanks GEMS.
Can this be from the local authority (worked for the same one) or have the refs got to come from the schools? One of my previous schools is closing!
Thanks

Re: Salary in WA - threshold
they should be from your employer- if that was the LEA then they can provide the statement of service.
Incidentally I don't think there is such a thing as threshold, well I know there is not in VIC. You need to research the salary scales in WA to find what the equivalent would be for you.
