Hi all, My partner and I were at the expo in Leeds last weekend and found out about the sponsored visas to WA. We'd only thought of going to Adelaide before then. This sounds ideal for us so we'd like to get the ball rolloing. Apparently the first thing I have to do is get my qualifications assessed. Does anyone know where I can get the Preliminary Assessment of Qualifications form from? Have been on WACOT's website, done a search and have sent various emails to no avail. Any help gratefully received - is it all this awkward?!

Register an interest at the Ed Dept website on www.det.wa.edu.au/teaching wa. There is a link for overseas trained teachers and you can leave an expression of interest. Teaching WA will get back to you. Alternatively email [email protected] with your details (they want to know what you teach - secondary or primary -your specialist subject area, and also your age) and Teaching WA will get back to you. They seem very organised and efficient and you get a reply within a couple of days.
Good Luck!
