Writer of "only fools and horses" John Sullivan.
The comedy writer John Sullivan died aged 64, the writer of what I regard as the best sitcom ever, in any language.
In fools and horses he has left a real gem, which can never be bettered.....DEP

It was brilliant with some of the funniest TV moments, Del boy falling through the bar, the chandelier, Batman and Robin etc.
As much as I love OF&H, I think Fawlty Towers was funnier and better crafted.
Both brilliant though.

If I had to vote for the best, Yes Minister? as being consistantly brilliant.
Blackadder wa slike a firework, brilliant but erratic.
OF&H was good, there's no denying, but it wasn't the best ever.

I was never a fan myself. It just came over as a bit too simple minded for me, for want of a better description.
There were plenty more cleverly written incl. Porridge and Fawlty T. as previously mentioned.
