Talking of the richest people, Ireland was doing alright until lately, but this guy has all the answers!

Someone else said, "Money can't buy happiness, but at least you can be miserable in comfort."

It seemed to come to a fairly abrupt end.
The guy certainly revelled in getting it all of his chest.
Smacking someone in the chops would just have put the cap on it and really made his day.

Who wants to be rich?
All I want is a job like Daniel Radcliffe, according to Sky news he has made 49 million being Harry Potter and the other actors are not too far behind him either

I used to think 1 million would be more than enough. But when I look at the price of housing, and realise I'd be bound to help out the odd friend (and family members) I suspect I'd now need a bit more. Maybe 49 million isn't such a bad idea..

Anyone else got their own 'ideal' win?
btw, my OH has always said the most important thing money buys is choice.

People with no money have to take less risks because if they lose their job they cant put food on the table next week.
It's also the reason why money cant buy some people happiness, as these people arent capable of coping with the many options that having money gives them.
Having money is a responsibility that is too big for some, which is why those who often win their money, or gain if from a house sale, inheritance or other windfall, often end up with no money again a few years later.

Absolutely agree with that. Money buys you options.

There was an interesting programme that said you could almost always tell the class of people by what they did with their money.
The more aspirational, middle class types invested and lived off it, but if you were working class, it was almost as if you felt you had betrayed your class by getting rich, and the only way you could get your self respect back was to piss it all up the wall asap.

I'd agree with that
