Working in Barcelona but only part time currently, but more like full time from january until the summer break.

Struggling on a fixed Pound Sterling pension - Torrevieja just down from Alicante - credit crunch and fall of the pound is really hitting hard here.

Its not what i did in the UK, but am enjoying it, just wish i could find other employment to take the burden off the savings !!!!

Newly retired (2 months of payments) after living here for six years - worked illegally maintaining properties but cut back over the last couple of years now trying not to work - but the phone keeps ringing. However, now don't charge - as a bachelor an invite to "Cena" and bring your toolkit is normal !!!

I think it is quite hard for working-age immigrants to avoid the 'black economy' in Spain...
For many people I know it helps to make ends meet...
