Interestingly the word 'aks',used in place of 'ask', which I always took to have come from Afro Carribean culture, appears several times spoken by the poor working class of Manchester in the 19th century novel 'Mary Barton'. Who'd 'a' knowed it?

"Thus far"

So far as I know , we're no longer in the Anglo-saxon period. We've come this far through the ages, surely we could bin 'thus'.

I don't really mind that one, it at least makes the speaker come across as somewhat educated.

I'd take a million "thus fars" over one "innit" any day.

+1. But innit is quite alright for normal casual conversation. I could name a few Canadian ones that are worse than innit.

Oh yes. That reminds me A phrase from the immortal Jade Goody "Something like that" pronounced "soin'-ai-eh" Ach! even in the deepest streets of Hull we pronounced more consonants than that. However. Getting back to Spain. They are just as bad in my pueblo where they eat every consonant and half the vowels too. And trying to teach kids to pronounce the ends of words is an uphill battle. "Ai -aing -ee" is not easily converted to "My name is"!
