Default Window Grills

Hi All, Has anyone heard or can confirm that new builds from January 2007 must have rejas fitted by the builder as standard. Many thanks.

Rejas are "normally" a requirement on ground floor/other accessible windows for insurance purposes but I've not heard of any other compulsion coming into force.
I think a Spanish house looks "naked" without rejas anyhow. If you object to the look of them you can always have the removable type fitted, which hook on and off and can be padlocked in place if you leave the property empty.
