I detest sport, especially this football nonsense. It's not the sport itself I loath it's the way that it takes over the major TV channels, everything is sacrificed for 22 sweaty, inarticulate, monosyllabic overpaid prima donna's kicking an inflated pigs bladder around a bit of grass. I shall be cheering tonight - cheering that the whole thing has come to an end and we can get back to normal - for a few weeks anyway.

I won't really be too bothered who wins, mainly because neither have ever won it before so it will be nice to have a "new" winner.

Also, as i am a Liverpool FC supporter, and we have players in both teams, i just hope that none of them get injured because we will need them when the Premiership begins here again on the 14th August.

** One point i would just like to add though, Spain out of every team that has taken part in this tournament, has the least amount of cards ( yellow / red ), and for their fairness in playing i hope they do well. **

I am really jealous as to what the atmosphere must be like wherever in Spain you are at the moment. It must be just fantastic!

I've done my cheering, my throat is sore, the dogs are terrified by the bangers, but I'm happy.

I didn't give it much thought because it was too unlikely, but if the final had been between England and Spain, I would have had a problem with my cheering.

Would I? I doubt if the problem will ever arise, we play in different leagues.

well jdr, nice,i just think that its is a shame the ignorant spanish won,as opposed to the polite dutch

that ofc didnt transfer to the football field, where the dirty dutch would have lost earlier if the ref had turned up

whatever tho i am english and they are the only team i would ever support and cheer for no matter where i have lived,i think it is sad that english bars display spanish flags(hoping to get a bit of trade),to me that is pathetic,as no spanish are going to go to an english bar to watch the game anyway
idiots

Well yes, I think you should do everyone a favour and get out of Spain. Get as far away from it as possible and leave the country to those who love it and its people!
