Default Wifi Dongle (USB)

I'm after a bit of advise please... I am travelling to a small town just down for Barcelona and will need to have access to emails, WhatsApp etc while I'm there for a month. I'd rather not have to use the 3g on my phone as this will prove costly, not do I want to be searching for free wifi all the time. Can I buy a wifi dongle (usb) in spain that comes preloaded with data? and if so, whats the best one. I'm open to other ideas too. Many thanks

Just out of interest, what sort of data do you want preloaded?
You can certainly buy a wifi dongle it pretty much any decent electronics store or hypermarket - but finding one with your particular dataset may prove elusive.

Erm, you will only have WiFi where you have access to a WiFi signal AND have a password to access it.

You are asking for a "WiFi dongle", but most devices have WiFi built-in.

I think you are referring to a 3g or 4g dongle that gives you internet access over the mobile network. In that case, yes, of course it's available in Spain as a "prepaid" solution, widely available, and affordable. Any phone shop or department store can help you.

I used to use an 'Orange' wifi internet mobile unit. (About the size of a credit card but a lot thicker). If I remember correctly, the unit cost me around €25 and that included 1gb of data which lasts for a month. Then replacement 1gb data card is €10.
Then just connect up to it, Simples

I have used Vodafone and it was cheap and reliable. I would suggest you check which provider gives best coverage in "a small town just down for Barcelona". http://www.vodafone.es/conocenos/es/...ndas-vodafone/

As an alternative, you may find it convenient to visit a café / bar with free Wifi?

Yes, you should frequent your local bistro/bar or even a local library and they will be happy to give you the WiFi access code. Alternatively , buying a data bundle will be the other solution.
