Exports may well be on the up and up, but considering the whole plight of the country it is a mere drop in the ocean.
Sort of like worrying about a pimple on your nose when you are at deaths door.:( |

At least the photos I post have some relevance. I'm not sure what yours even depicts, let alone what relevance it has to anything.
But interesting that you feel you have a right to post images time and time again (and to be fair some have been amusing) but as soon as someone returns the favour you throw your toys out of the pram. :p |

Sort of like worrying about a pimple on your nose when you are at deaths door.:( For instance Talgo are expanding their factories in the north, because of export deals. http://www.railwaygazette.com/news/s...ryg1hU.twitter Following the award of contracts to supply rolling stock to Saudi Arabia, Russia and Kazakhstan, Talgo began work in January on a two-stage programme to expand production facilities at Rivabellosa. Under the first phase, a new assembly hall covering 2 800 m2 is to be built, equipped with seven welding stations and four overhead cranes for the construction of bodyshells up to 22 m long. The second phase will see the building extended by a further 6 000 m2. It's a tough competitive world out there, and things are not going to get easier. |

If you really can't see it (your obsession with the US, and your tendency to divert numerous threads into talking about it) then I feel sorry for you!

Nonetheless, it seemed to take you only a fraction of a second to acknowledge the relevance of the photo I posted. But I reckon you're just smarter than me. ;) My apologies. Carry on... |

Au contraire, the only way EU countries (and the UK too) are going to get out this mess is by selling to countries in the rest of the world that are growing.

I wish more emphasis was placed on this in the UK; instead we waste time on issues like the bedroom tax, or just sneering at EU countries on talkboard forums. It's a tough competitive world out there, and things are not going to get easier. In times of "vacas gordas" there was still no real help for this disabled, poor pensioners and the unemployed. There might have been plenty of money to award big contracts to build airports and such, but Spain did nothing for the people on the street. All the talk about exports picking up/booming do little to appease the general population. While we are on the subject of bedroom tax and such, if UK only gave the same level of help to its welfare recipients as they do in Spain (derisory) then they would be out of the crisis. |

And now Spain is trying to rip off the old, less well off of the visitors as well. The UK NHS pays Spain to treat these people, but they are refusing in some cases and trying to railroad people into expensive private care. Nice to see the EU stopping it!!!!
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/p...HIC-usage.html But look on the bright side....exports are doing well. |
