Re: Why ... ???
yes you are missing something
unless the thread is moved by a Moderator for stated reason(s) it is the OP who makes the initial decision as to the area it is posted
that is YOU.

Re: Why ... ???
So whoever first posted about house prices in PdT was expecting blood in the sand, and whoever posted aout JA in ST was hoping for a nice civilised discussion. I'll bear that in mind ....

You didn't come on BE expecting logical thinking, surely ?
I reckon you're fitting in quite nicely.

Re: Why ... ???
Siesta time is for subjects that have no relation to Spain.
PdT is for subjects that are, from the outset, likely to be contentious and result in a spirited discussion.
The mods will move threads into the respective forums if they have been originally posted in the wrong place or if they degenerate into a thread more suitable for PDT.
It does work both ways, if a thread is posted in Siesta Time and clearly is relevant to Spain generally it will be moved to the main forum.
Let me take the opportunity to remind you that although the level of moderation in PdT is somewhat less than in the other two forums, any form of personal attacks, however minor, on other members just because you don't agree with their views will be dealt with the same way that they would be dealt with in the main forum - ie a warning by PM followed by a ban for a second occurence.
