Where to go???
Not strictly an immigration question but looking for a suitable place for mother in law to take an extended break in Spain. Up to 90 days.
Initially thinking Canary Islands would be nice but pointed out they are Islands and not especially big.
So now considering med coast so can take a trip inland by train or bus to Madrid or other cities along the coast.
Wish list
Nice apartment complex.
Mostly english speaking preferred as no language skills yet.
Ability to self cater in addition to eating out.
Everything walkable.
Perhaps golf lessons or similar activities nearby.
Near water front areas or parks for recreational walking.
Reasonable proximity to airport so we can pop out to visit.
Avoiding stag and hen havens though obviously happy to be around expats etc.
good general safety levels
Any suggestions for that nice little haven to spend some time appreciated.

Re: Where to go???
try Malaga, plenty of English, plenty of golf courses nearby, plenty of bus trips for a day out, AVE to Madrid for an overnight stay, plenty of available men.

Don't rule out the Canaries! They might look small on the map but Spain's highest mountain is on Tenerife! There are different islands to visit and lots of different landscapes to see. They also have a lovely climate all year round, remember Southern Spain can get stiflingly hot in summer. Also they are geared up for foreign visitors and there are loads of English-speaking activities, tours, clubs etc.

I went on an excellent jeep ride up into the hills and down through the valley's, came back covered in volcanic ash and dust.

Possibly the Southern resorts would suit best.
If Los Cris and Las Americas are too busy, there are other quieter resorts even closer to the airport in the Costa Silencio region, also lots of Golf Courses close by, possibly Golf del Sur being one of the handiest.

Yes, we're having a nice long warm dry spell in Andalucia at the moment. When it's like this, it's hard to imagine wanting to live anywhere else. You forget all about those awful floods we had in November when it rained for a fortnight!
