There have been reports on our urbanisation of some people backwashing their pools into the street! That is illegal according to the peeps that know and we are encouraged to report these people - so will I??? Will I .......

I also MUST correct myself and say we have TWO bikes. One bought new with Spanish plates and one bought used and matriculated from German to Spanish plates. Both insured fully comp!

Just so everyone knows

Oh and before I forget, we don't own a car....or a house!

Only that you as a Spanish resident are not allowed to drive a foreign vehicle.

Are you saying that if I'm a resident I'm not legally allowed to hire a car unless it's Spanish....or drive a UK plate car belonging to friends when they come over?
If I did commit these heinious crimes against humanity will I be taken to The Village?

My husband went to the Ayutamanto (Town Hall) a couple of Fridays ago armed with photographs to ask if the building next door was legal. The lady took one look at the photo's & after going on the computer said it was illegal & the Police would be there on the Monday, & for my husband to come back the following Friday.

The Police came on the Thursday & on the Friday my husband went back to the Town hall to be told the house is legal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can it be illegal one week & a week later all of a sudden it is LEGAL?

Answers on a postage stamp please.

You got it Matt! Life is good! Why concern myself with irrelevancies? The Spanish certainly don't. So why should I?

After all, I'm here in Spain (which is where I want to be)....got my family round me, they're happy, the business is doing well, we're all in good health, made loads of good friends locally, and we've pretty much been accepted by the locals cos we're so different from the stereotypical Brit image.
Can't fault it! Wish we'd done it years ago.

When we planned to leave Britain, I wanted France.....and the other three wanted Spain, so I was overuled.
And I've got no doubt that Spain was the right place for us, but if the situation ever changes here then France would be the destination.
I figure I could be pretty much happy wherever I go.....except Britain of course.
