What will happen in 2014?

Unemployment will remain unbearably high and the Catalonians will attempt to have their referendum in the autumn which will cause a large upheaval in Madrid.
The Junta de Andalucía will continue to demolish British-owned homes in Almería and Málaga, causing fresh unpopularity for Spain across Northern Europe.
Homeowners will be barred from short-term renting their apartments and houses.
The price of crystal balls will skyrocket.

Ever the optimist, Hacienda will finally explain to the million British expats in Spain that modelo 720 is for Spanish citizens, i.e. people who hold Spanish nationality, and not temporary visitors like myself.

On the subject of cholesterol etc....People will still not realise that eating fat does not cause cholesterol and Statins are not a wonder drug. Bribed doctors will still prescribe them to people for whom they're totally unsuitable if they can get away with it. The Spanish will continue to move away from the healthy high oil/fat mediterranean diet and will eat and drink more sucrose filled rubbish to replace it...as a result will become fatter.

You forgot to say that we will become even more confused about colesterol and such.

I read something the other day, that said colesterol was not the killer that it is made out to be.
The real baddie in the equation is calcium in the blood, that is apparently what hardens the arteries.

So..................................
