It's not too windy. It's a pain if you are doing something that the wind interferes with, like putting fibreglass mesh on the roof, but otherwise the wind is like a friend rumpling your hair vigorously (most of the time.) The locals curse the Levante, but its cooling effect is wonderful.

Oh hell, you don't want one of those unless you want it shredded and blown across the garden. Much cleverer to build a pergola and grow grapes up it. They leaf up late, so you get the spring sun thru, and then the shade is cooler than a parasol, plus you get free grapes!
