Back on topic, I collect old post-cards, main interest is from the 1st world war and have now many of old spain. I also save more than collect carrier bags from everywhere I have been world-wide

I know what you mean about the carrier bags!
I always used to bring a serviette and a packet of sugar back from all the hotels and restaurants I went to along my travels...................but they're not quite so easy to store as book marks!

When my Mother died I found she had a box with sugar cubes and serviettes etc. from different holidays.Felt a bit guilty throwing some of the stuff out.

It's always difficult and emotional when faced with having to decide what to keep and what to dispose of, on top of struggling to cope with your grief.
Your Mum obviously had good taste then...........she had the same type of collection as me
