I started collecting them after a narrow escape when a toilet seat hinge failed one day leaving me with embarrassing bruises.
I became absolutely fascinated by their design and working, and now have more than 51,267 individual examples of this hugely underated aid to our everyday living experience.

I did toy with the idea of collecting toast crusts, it was a futile effort to be honest as the mere sight of a toast crust sends me into a wild panic about my possible wheat intolerance, but luckily I have made it through that particular issue and have found that collecting unknown toe nail cuttings is tremendously rewarding.

As you have so many it obviously wasn't a flash in the pan, do you splash out much on them?

I used to get time of in loo from work to go searching for them but after a while I got bogged down with work

Did they in-cistern you doing a bit then? If you're running out of space for your collection I know of a couple of places that are toilet at good rates.

You three are like a bunch of naughty schoolboys...............but you really make me chuckle sometimes
Getting back to the question in hand (heaven forbid!
)
I collect bookmarks. I have them from all over the world; places that I have visited or that people have brought back for me from various trips.
They're made from all kinds of different materials.
Blimey, I sound like a right dork!
Anyway, they're all in albums................and I like to get them out and touch them occasionally
Not true, of course - just joining in with the schooboy humour before I go to bed
I haven't even glanced at them for about 10 years!! They were in the loft, and for some bizarre reason I saw fit to keep them despite our move here.
There's no accounting for some folks!
