Hi everyone we've gone and done it!
left a holding fee on a property on La Marina urbanization.. Had a look at loads of properties and ended back at La Marina. figured it was as safer bet than a lot of areas The urb has been growing for the last 20 years so don't think anyones gonna pull it down now
Anyway got a 2 bed detatched in a quieter area with open fields to the rear so not totally surrounded by other houses. Most on the cul-de-sac are residents, couple of english, couple of germans and 3 spanish homes. 10 mins to the pub so no noise from that, nice english couple having to return to blighty due to ill health went and had a cup of tea with them after the offer had been accepted and they were nice and friendly.. Now I know I should get my own solicitor but the estate agents have offered theirs, I said no, but am tempted as it all seems easier. There was no hard sell they were like, heres the houses, theres the brochures give us a ring if you want us. The office was very busy as they do building work ect everyone seemed to know them. So just gotta sort a mortgage now!

Thanks I know urbanizations arn't everyones cup of tea but it suits our requirements, in that we seem to have found a nice quiet area of the urb but still stuff for the kids to do and has we have already holidayed in the area several times over the last 20 years it feels familiar.

But 3 years later he does not hold it against us, and still gets his round in when we meet in the local bar.
In hindsight I'm sure we would have been ok using his suggestion, but you never know at the time.
Good luck from a fellow "dee da" & 100% Blade

For your own piece of mind do not use their solicitor. Our estate agent looked like a child who had lost his favourite toy when we politely refused his suggested lawyer.
But 3 years later he does not hold it against us, and still gets his round in when we meet in the local bar.
In hindsight I'm sure we would have been ok using his suggestion, but you never know at the time.
