Default water and drains

Im having major problems trying to get connected legally to the water.

First the waterboard demanded loads of paperwork which I supplied including a licencia de ocupacion and new boletin, now they are saying we need a new water meter and stop cock, also connection to mains drains 15-20 meters away.

Does anyone know who pays what? is the meter free and do we have to lay the pipes to the mains?

Thanks

No, its for a cavehouse I have in Andalucia. The cavehouse was built and connected to a meter before I bought it in 2007 and Ive been trying to sort it out since last June! every time I complete one set of requirements they move the goal posts.......the licence and boletin cost €200 because the originals were 'misplaced'.Now this with the meter and drains!

I suspect you will have to pay for everything, perhaps the laws have changed since the original pipe work was laid.

I'm sorry to say that the costs are all down to you. The cost of a meter is about 200euros. You will have to employ a plumber and 'worker' to put all the pipe work in place.

Thanks for that, I'll get a quote for the pipes..does it have to be a plumber who lays the piping?
