Default water boiler

hi, anyone help
my wife noticed water under our electric boiler, on further investigation i found there was a little silver valve on the bottom of the hot water hose
i watched it let small amounts of water out then stop, i put a bowl under it to collect any water, it dosent happen a lot and not a problem noe theres a bowl, but is this normal ? the boilers not that old and i have never touched any settings i just wondered if they over pressure or something

Default Re: water boiler

Not sure, but it would make sense for there to be some sort of pressure release valve.
