What are you reasons for needing one? There may be easier and cheaper alternatives.

What do you mean by 'Torrenting', I've downloaded torrents regularly and never needed a VPN.

My experience of Nord was it worked well but throttled the speed by a huge factor making streaming tv via 4G poor during busy times.

Yes I ran speed tests on my laptop with Nord running and not running and despite their claims there was a difference - but also run it on my TV and have not had a problem - but I have good fibre optic connection

Hi Steve, same thing. Downloading torrents are for the main part illegal. without a vpn companies in the US can locate you by your IP and claim damages for copyright infringement. A vpn prevents that completely.

I have been using PIA for the last few years. They are offering 3 years and 4 months for €70 at the moment. PureVpn and NordVpn get good reviews.

Some VPN companies have handed information to the authorities in the past.
