Quite surprised as I felt sure it was the coldest April since I've been here and also fairly wet.
I think many other posters seem to have a similar impression.

Just read snippet in the local paper, showing figures from the State Met Office whch states that last month April was Warmer than average,(by 0.8%) and Drier than normal,(by-2%).
Those figures cover the averages all over Spain.
Quite surprised as I felt sure it was the coldest April since I've been here and also fairly wet.
I think many other posters seem to have a similar impression.

It was actually the second warmest April over the last 7 years.

Looks like the unpronounceable volcano isn't quite done with its fun and its about to cause yet more disruption. Still, on a more positive note it would be sweet irony if the BA strikes go ahead and coincide with the Volcanic shutdown....

Wont suprise you to know that Birmingham airport suspended flights after 7 pm tonight .......... needless to say my daughters flight was at 7.30 and was promptly cancelled!!!

She doesnt have enough holiday time to risk it, so had to cancel the flight with BMI. She's re booking, but we now realise how easily this could happen again and again and again

I think bookings will be well down as I recently read that people who now take out travel insurance will NOT be covered for ASH. Especially the ones who DIY
