Vacation advice needed..pleeeease !
I'm coming to Barcelona with my 12 year old daughter in July. Any advice on where to stay, what to see etc. etc. We plan to stay for about a week.
Thanks in advance.

There is a lot of info in the above links. The tour bus as mentioned is a cheap and useful way of seeing the city. Remember if taking a central hotel get a room at the back as the Catalan youth like to party until dawn in Barcelona and you will need your sleep to do the tourist thing.

The train is also a good/cheap mode of transport they run on time, Travelling South will take you to the theme parks also The old town part of Stiges is nice, But Salou is rather too union jack tee shirty for me.

Hiya
We visited a couple of years ago and stayed at Placa Real with these people. http://www.urban-flats.com/
Although the entrance looked a bit dodgy and gloomy, the flats were lovely, soundproofed and modern and much cheaper than a hotel. Also Placa Real is very central being about mid way along Las Ramblas. Placa Real and Barcelona is well policed these days but do, please be very savvy when going out and about, there are sadly many people trying to rob tourists in this lovely city. However, don't let that put you off - its a fantastic experience.
