Underhanded spineless scum
Too frightened to go to an International Court
http://gbc.gi/news/2237/spanish-asso...ltar-ministers This is not the first time w8nkers from Spain have tried this tactic. |

Why didn't you bother to say what you really think in the title?

This link shows the SITUACIÓN LEGAL ZONAS DE PRODUCCIÓN It clearly shows that non of the zones cover Gibraltar water. In fact they stop a good way short of the projected frontier lies. For example go to Concha Fina |
Re: Underhanded spineless scum
In my naive way , my logic tells me that since Gibraltar is considered part of the UK for legal purposes, what a group of lawyers do in La Linea and the courts there, has no bearing on anything other than to provide a source of amusement.

Warning to all Expats in the Granada region. Stick those mugshots on your wall and avoid them like the plague. |
Re: Underhanded spineless scum
Gibraltar. Its an independant colony and truth be told, Britain would be well rid of it. Trouble is the government here feel obliged to stand up for it.
Being an independant colony, if Spain want it so bad why not just walk in there with its army? The UK is not likely to want to defend it the way they did the Falklands, so probably no fear of reprisals from the UK. I'm sure Spain could sit there and ignore all the protestations over the invasion in the UN and EU. Just like the UK has done for many years:D They could even do it the easy way. Pay its own citizens to move to Gib. Once enough are there get them to vote for Spanish to stand for government. Get a majority in government and then pass legislation to seccede from the UK and rejoin spain. Simple! |

Re: Underhanded spineless scum
Nothing wrong with my thought process DICK. The Uk would be far better off finacially without all the hangers on like Gib. Falklands and all the other commonwealth nations that suck money from the UK purse.

Re: Underhanded spineless scum
Ha! just realised, Commonwealth. Its the UK's wealth being spread commonly around other nations! How better off would this country be without supporting places like Belize, India et al.

Anyway, it's clear that this is just a diversionary tactic by the spanish PM to divert press attention from him, personally. |
Re: Underhanded spineless scum
90% agreed to maintain their low tax regime, rip off those visitors who insist in paying in Euros and do as much as they can to P*** off the neighbours knowing that the " good old UK " will always step in to help them out.
How about a referendum in the UK to "allow " the Gibbos to stay British providing that they pay UK tax, UK VAT, and all companies registered or based there must conform to UK taxation rules. Then they might deserve the support from the UK they keep asking for and reluctantly get. |

Obviously in your world the future of the ppl living on Gib, some for many generations is totally irrelevant. Freedom of choice, Democracy, the Will of the People, Decent principles.... ........anything there that rings a bell ? Like the fact that 99% of the population prefer not to live under Spanish rule ? Thought not, obviously of no importance in your sort of world. Now consider just for one moment just how you'd feel being treated in such a manner as that yourself, like a flock of sheep, shipped off from one caring farmer to the next who couldn't even care a monkeys uncle them............... |
Re: Underhanded spineless scum
90 % want to stay British, how many of that 90% want to pay UK tax and live under UK business rules.
There would be a 8 hour wait at the border as the tax dodgers queued up to leave for the next tax haven they could find. |
