Well, yes, but El PaÃs in English reports, in translation, El PaÃs stories. At least Typically Spanish, my own site(s) and a host of others, in choosing material from a broad spectrum of sources, do so in consideration of what might be useful for our guiri readership.

Well it appears there is a new web publication on Spain, The Local (already running in other European countries). I have to say that on first impressions it blows the competition, certainly my site, out of the water. Maybe Typically Spanish will also admit defeat?

At this moment Howard doesn't need to worry, at least he has the website up, even if it isn't saying much.
Remember the early months of Classic FM back in 1992 when they weren't ready to go live but broadcast test transmissions of birdsong and other country sounds for 3 months - one of the most listened to unclassified pieces of broadcasting in the world.
Its better to get it out and correct it later than not get it out at all.

considering IAG has posted a €1billion loss
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/n...s-hit-1bn.html
due to the loss making activities of Iberia
In most other arenas (except for the banks) losses of such magnitude would mean they would all lose their highly paid jobs not just the 15% that is being looked for.
It was said at the time of the merger into IAG that Iberia would be a millstone and would have to change drastically, well now is the time.

Personally I don't think they care much how it's interpreted as the hardcore of them seem to be a fairly ignorant lot.
It's partly down to their conduct over a great many years that the company is on it's knees.

yes and seems to have a number of items repeated and repeated down the page. A lazy tactic used by the E and DM to fill space.

I think 'The Local' looks great. Good luck to them!

Flickers of life .... hopefully the home page will be displaying news lists fairly soon. An encouraging sign is that the advertising seems to be working...
