Default Which TV packages ???

Righto,

Need to stop our Sky subscription......we have 1.8m satelitte dish.

Would like English/American as well as Spanish channels.....

Can anyone recommend which package to get?

We are high in the Old town of Oliva. With our dish we can get Channel 5 but not BBC1,2, ITV or Channel 4.

Going to Para Millars today but would like to know which package people think is the best and how much is it. We pay around £30 for ours....want to get a cheaper package.

Cheers guys

Mich

all the Spanish digital channels (Canal + Telefoncia etc) offer OV options on most channels. You also get a few channels on TDT tv but it's usually limited to Movies. Note for some reason no one anywhere in Europe carries British TV, 95% of all programming is dubbed American shows. dont' know why but it's that way.

U may struggle with BBC and ITV on a 1,8M in your area, but have you tried a dish realignment to check that all is ok before you splash out on another sytem!!. You should have no problems with about 25 other english channels on a 1.8M where you are??

The height will make no difference, but a 1.8M and 1.9M are the same dish, depends on who is selling it to you, ( IE measure across the width and either take into account the convex 1.9M or not 1.8M). but the good news is that on basis of this info, you should have no problems at all, as getting BBC2 on a 1.8/9 is pretty difficult in that area.

Don't forget - if your dish is large enough - even if you cancel your Sky subscription you will still get all the BBC/ITV/C4/C5 channels. For Spanish TV you can get a digital terrestrial box for about 30 euros. On satellite the main terrestrial channels are encrypted.

You can find out what Spanish digital terrestrial you can receive where you live by entering your postcode on this site:-
