Socialists refuse to back government's Transparency Law
Congress on Thursday approved one of the Popular Party (PP) government's star pieces of legislation: the Transparency Law. But it did so without the support of the main opposition group, the Socialist Party (PSOE), which withheld its votes mostly because of the Bárcenas corruption scandal, which involves an alleged PP slush fund that was run by the party's disgraced former treasurer, Luis Bárcenas.
our PSOE mayor seems to disagree though ......

WELCOME TO MY BLOG
Dear Friends,
As part of my policy of transparency, of listening and dialogue, I created an English Facebook page as a means of communicating with the citizens of XÃ bia. It has been very successful, however I realise that not all of our citizens have Facebook pages even though they actively use the internet. For this reason I am developing this Blog, through which I will try to communicate issues and events of importance and interest to our citizens. At the same time I would like to encourage everyone to contact me with their concerns or problems related to living in XÃ bia and I will do my best to reply within a reasonable timeframe. I hope that you will find this new initiative helpful.
