I used to go into my Spanish bank, and they did it all for me, just needed IBAN number.

Advertisers here aren't going to be happy as they have big banner adverts flashing across the top of the screen
I've always used Hifx, can all be set up and done online, and with the best rates I've seen.
There, hope I get a discount for being better than their banner

We have been using Currencies Direct for the last five years!
We get a good rate and have never had any problems, we deal with them on-line but they have offices in both the UK and here in Spain.

No, because as the quote above says: Working for Santander meant we did the transfer from the branch and the internal team in wherever they choose to outsource, sent the money and maybe used a 3rd party but most likely not.

In Moscow, my clients also use a bank to transfer or Western Union. But, I am never ashamed to admit I don't know everything. If these companies save clients money then I am happy.

Not forgetting XE.com. We have used them for many years and have transferred hundreds of thoudands of pounds through them for both business as we used to have to settle a monthly US$ invoice and personal whenever we need to top up oue Spanish bank account from UK funds. We also used them to transer the bulk of the purchase price of our house here to our personal Spanish bank account.

Good exchange rate, no charges and worked like a charm every time...

Hi,

Has anyone used Smart Currency Exchange? I've set up an account and would be interested in any opinions, thanks

Yes, must agree with you - the top cats are the ones who come out of the security locked doors but don't have a name tag or mandatory company tie.

How quick is this, my pension comes via Citibank and takes 4 working days to reach my Solbank, I am trying to find the delay.

That is how the banks make some of their profits, using your money for three days.
