Trains UK to Malaga?

Trains UK to Malaga?
We have friends in the UK who would love to come for a visit 
- the only problem is the husband has never/will never/is petrified of flying 
so was just wondering other than coach which I assume would take a month of Sundays, is there a possibility of coming down by train and if so how do you go about finding out?
