Train Alicante Airport to Gata/Denia
Hiya,
We have some relatives coming over to stay in August and they aren't hiring a car and unfortunately they fly in first thing on a Sunday morning and we can't pick them up - what is the situation with trains from Alicante to Denia? Has anyone done it? How long does it take and what is the price?

Before we had a car we had that problem - we used to get a taxi from the airport to the port in Alicante. You can then get a tram from there to Denia. To look at the times go to www.fgvalicante.com.
To be honest if we go into Alicante we always take the tram rather than drive!

Before we had a car we had that problem - we used to get a taxi from the airport to the port in Alicante. You can then get a tram from there to Denia. To look at the times go to www.fgvalicante.com.

The quickest way would be a bus from the airport to the coach station in Alicante, and then a coach to Denia. The train from the Port in Alicante is more pleasant, but it takes forever.
