Don't know if this would be any use to you, but if you can't find one to buy, there is a guy in Velez-Malaga known as Pepe el Multa who runs a business delivering building materials, skips etc using a tractor and trailer - everyone in the area where I live (La Villa) uses him as you can't get any other vehicles up our streets, no cars or vans. I don't have his phone number to hand at the moment (its at home and I am at work) but could send it to you tomorrow if its any good.

Hi Susie
The mobile phone number for Pepe el Multa (real name Jose Antonio Barranquero Gomez!) is 649 647071. I'm not sure if he speaks any English, if that matters.

My house is in the Barrio la Villa - from the big square opposite the San Juan De Bautista church (Plaza de la Constitucion) you go through the old archway (Puerta Real) and you are in the maze of old streets which are not usable by motorised vehicles (except motorbikes and scooters unfortunately, although we don't get too many of them and as the street outside our house is stepped they can't go fast). I love it, it's like stepping back in time but as we have all mod cons inside the house it's the best of both worlds.
My house is on Calle Real de la Villa which is the original street leading up to the Fortaleza, go along the street after passing through the Puerta Real until you come to a small square with a fountain in the middle (Plaza de Espinar), turn right up Calle Real de la Villa and we are on the next corner with Calle san Diego.
If you're ever exploring, drop in for a coffee or something stronger. Only my partner is there at the moment, I'm finishing off my notice at work (but not working too hard as you can tell) and flying over for good on 28 November.
