Not having a pop, just fed up of all these cases and media hype, your missus might know him
Andrew Lancel is an award winning English actor, producer and director. He is best known for his appearance as Frank Foster in the long-running ITV soap opera Coronation Street, and formerly in his role as DI Neil Manson in The Bill.
Was one of my fav tv drama actors, ill never see him the same again, but he got not guilty of 4 counts of sexual abuse

I've only been called for jury service on one occasion and I was thrown out possibly because my views on general morality were known. The picked jury returned a no guilty vote.

This story has shocked me more than any of the ones involving celebrities - he will never face justice now as he has killed himself, but what a calculating, cynical monster he seems to have been:-

Even worse in my eyes are the countless cases of UN officials in Africa taking advantage of their privileged positions in charge of distributing food and other supplies to abuse children.
They are fully aware that it's a paedos paradise and do all they can to get a posting down there and take full advantage.
I sometimes think that the UN is even more hypocritical than the Catholic Church.

Watching the news this morning, it appeared as though the entire cast of Coronation Street was before the Crown Courts.

Next thing you'll be starting a thread about the latest goings on in Coronation St.

Personally I wouldn't recognise any one of them if they jumped up and bit me on the nose.

Looking at the viewing figures, it makes her normal, and I don't begrudge her her joy.
I'm not quite as normal because I only know part of the story lines when I pass from the tranquillity of my office, through the noisy lounge to the sanity of the terrace.
Corrie has just gone off and she's now watching Eastenders. They all seem to be shouting at each other.

From what snippets pop up whilst I'm trying to catch up with the real news headlines, there seems to exist a permanent state of hostilities and Lord only knows there's already plenty of that in the real world.
Now if they ever make soaps with a permanently built in feel good factor I might even start watching them myself, but all this endless trouble and strife and all hell let loose every week is just not for me.
Maybe it makes peeps feel better trying to believe there's always someone deeper in the brown stuff themselves.

at least on Game of Thrones they cut off their heads - stops things dead in their tracks but brings on a new wave of revenge arguements.
and when the same garage mechanic can do nothing but repair cars and marry a couple of times in 30 years it really does show how poor these programmes are. no wonder the advertising companies are queueing up to get client placement slots in them.

I know the case is sub judice and you're innocent until proven guilty, and I know it's only the first day of a long trial, but when I read what the young girl with the teddy bear said at the trial yesterday I realised that the Corrie actor Le Vell needed to face trial.
If he's found guilty after due and fair process, by a jury of his fellow citizens, I would not be surprised if they threw the key away.

To my mind, inexperienced in such matters - he looks positively ill in the latest photo's printed. But then 30yrs in the one job could get to you a bit
