BE is actually a * very * active forum, I am a member of a few different types and there is only one of these that I think can match the activity of this one... and they have 20 mods 'its not an expat type either'.
jdr, I don't envy the task of moderating a forum with this activity, I am sure it is a very time consuming task, but on the '!' icon 'and this is only a suggestion', would it maybe help users actually 'notice it' and so then understand what it's for if it was changed to red?
Keep up the good work.

Plants are good. What I dislike are Spaniards. Not personally, but what they are- dealing with them for anything is like trying to drink sand.

The Spanish have known more about life than we British have, they have taken things easy in the 'mañana' way long before we started coming here. They have a great and relaxing way of life, it's one of the things that brought me here all those years ago. After all, why would you want to be rushing around commiting yourself to anything when you can take it easy, suffer no stress and probably live longer for it, there is more to life than many of the people that come here realise, their values are different, their demands are different and the only way to settle here out of a 'expat' enclave is to realise or * discover * this. Lifes not all about getting your home looking like it was in the UK and nice smart cloths and games, 'although it starting to get about paying taxes, lol'.
The Spanish are a race of people that have * laid back * in their genes, what a great way to live when you get up in the morning to tend your campo and stop and chat when you meet someone without worrying what you have to do, this is in their blood.
BTW, getting stressed out with them will probably just make things worse for you 'in more ways than one', you need to take things in the Spanish way, if you want things done faster then you just have to be aware that you need to pay regular visits to remind them about things, but do it with a smile and embrace the culture and you will enjoy it more. Life is about your health and enjoying yourself, I don't like saying this but no tells expats they have to come here.
This is a great country if you can embrace the culture, although the politics might get you in the end but then that's another story. lol
