You could always get a job in another part of Worthing, where absolutely nothing happens.

Its not a town with many opportunities though is it? The young are bored senseless and there are few opportunities aside from having a kid, getting into trouble, selling drugs or working on a checkout in the local "super" market!

Dont make excuses. There are many opportunities, there is a big aeronautical college up the road, several colleges, there are three big industrial estates, a thriving shopping centre, lots of out of town shopping centres, hotels, tourism, offices, Gatwick airport half an hour away, good train and road links........... Its no different to anywhere else. There is no excuse to sell drugs, to shoplift, to be rude and aggressive or to have lotsa babies. I have five children, none of them have degenerated into drug dealing parents because there are no opportunities. They are ALL either in education or working in good jobs. Its not about available opportunities, its about standing around demanding to be housed, fed, entertained and getting indignantly aggressive if that doesnt happen!

alot do.....

girl came in the office demanding that her landlord get rid of the mouse that had taken up residence in her flat. Her youngest was playing with it.
just couldnt understand that it was a "lifestyle problem" and nothing to do with the landlord, that she should sort it out.
she claimed she was dependent on benefits and couldnt afford a mouse trap.
someone sarcastically said they would pass the hat round - she actually believed them

If she had an assured short hold tenancy then Pest Control is indeed the landlords responsibility.

Our local council in Worthing will do pest control on mice and rats for free - if you're on benefits, £30 if you're not! "Good ole Worthing"

That's not true, the costs vary and it's a reduced charge if you receive benefits.
