Just phoned 1004 said what could they do to stop me moving to Vodafone and bingo they immediately reduced my monthly payment by 13 euros upgraded my ADSL speed to 6mbs and gave me 500 free minutes at weekends to mobiles. Still stunned.

Well done. Out of interest how much were you paying a month? My monthly bills are between 95 and 120e and I'm looking for a better deal. I wouldn't mind but we dont use the phone that much but I'm scared to change providers as I need the ADSL for my work and can't afford any down time.

This is the offer on their website for people who have a telephone line with Movistar which to me means you are an existing customer

We have been with them for seven years so about time they looked after their existing customers. I am sure the operator I spoke with knew I already had ADSL as she quoted what I was already paying.

I have rural adsl which is only 3mb and costs more. It is 29€ for internet and 13€ for line this is without calls (national are free).
I recently did a thread on this subject and someone suggested a private company which did a good deal and I think they cover your area, sorry can't remember name.
If you live in the city you usually have more choice with other servers like ya, ono, orange.

That seems a lot of money, why does your bill vary between 95-120€ unless I have missed something.

Well an update. Received first bill after the "changeover" 20Jan-8Feb 28.500 euros; 9Feb-16Feb 8.5429 euros. Bearing in mind I phoned them on 8th Feb so that would seem right but the figure of 8.54 for one week doesn´t equate to 26.90 per month as quoted. Did anyone else contact Telefonica to get a better deal?

One of the girls in the office I am sure got your offer and she was an existing customer and one of my other colleagues got a discount because of low earnings (he told them that he was going to have to cancel his line)

Sue can you ask them if they have had a bill through since they changed and is it correct?
