Telefonica Movistar

Does anyone have a phone line or email for the above relating to problems with the above company. Keep getting cut off when requesting an English speaking customer service rep.

You may be lucky and find someone in the movistar shop who is willing to call them on your behalf but they aren't supposed to do that.

I find you usually get through all right if you ring mid afternoon say about 3pm. Don´t usually have a problem but even when you do speak to someone they are not very interested.

I needed to talk to them a couple of times this week.
When you get the recorded message just say Ingles and it usually then either goes straight to an English speaking operator or comes up with some options - keying 1 will connect you to an English speaking operator.
That said, they are just as useless, annoying, bloody minded and unhelpful in English!

I’ll second that, Fred. And if you speak to them in fluent Spanish, they are just as useless, bloody minded, annoying and unhelpful.

I think the majority of operators are French, but what ever they are, I have found them to be extremely unhelpful and rude, regardless if you speak English or Spanish to them, they just continually call you madam and repeat themselves like some sort of tape recording, it is so frustrating

Is anyone else having this happen, or know what it's about?
I have been reluctant to press 1 as I didn't know what I would be letting myself in for.

I have tried several times to call Telefonica and ask to speak to an English speaker to be told no one talks English and have the phone put down on me, so now when Telefonica calls me I say "speak English" and put the phone down on them. I did use to try and speak to them in Spanish and explain that my Spanish was basic but try to pootle along but now I tend to be as rude as they are. It is often a race who can put the phone down first

I now make it a policy to ask for names whenever I call any company. It also helps you sincerely to thank someone who has been genuinely helpful.
