Telefonica - Internet Pricing Change

Just read that they are going to reduce the monthly fee to 27 euros from 39. Don´t know if this is just for new customers though.

If they change the rate everyone can get the new rate, you only have to ask for it because those Nazi´s will not do it automatically. That´s for sure.

Not sure what you mean?
Doesn't the monthly internet fee depend on what service you are getting or have I missed something here.
I pay 29.00 a month for 100mbps

24/7 is 39.90 plus IVA.

Absolutely not true (in my experience). Cheaper rates quoted are for NEW customers only! I asked for this new rate and was told I couldn't have it. I asked to be disconected and then reconected as a new customer but was told;

1) I would have a new number
2) I may not even get a line as there was a waiting list
3) They wouldn't allow that anyway!

I have also previously been told that the offers are only applicable for new clients!

Sounds a rip-off compared to UK. Is there not such a thing as a Spanish Monopolies Commission ??

No wonder they can buy up foreign businesses left right and centre.

DeceptionGreedProfit !! - It could just be their downfall !

That´s ridiculous, Is this in a shop or do you call the Telefonica customer service (Always good fun) ? I am currently paying 19,95 + iva for a 6mb connection with free national calls.
I would contact Jazztel who are doing offers now.

Telefonica don't have shops any more - it was via 'customer services' (and I use the term loosely!)

I have heard really bad things about Jazztel - a friend was with them and kept loosing his phone services. They were never interested in resolving the issues.

Yep, they are utter crap! It´s simply choosing the lesser evil. I´ve had a contract with ya.com for a while at € 43,00 per month but Telefonica came with a better offer.

I think the trick is to keep switching providers every year, that´ll bring rates down.

Hi, we had ADSL rural (500 thingy’s) with Telefonica, we live on the outskirts of Denia so that was the best we could get. Six months ago they sent a letter stating that they where going to increase the speed to one mega ( 1000 thingy’s) and reduce the price from 39 euros to 29 per month. I could not believe this; we have had so much trouble over the last 10 years. But true to there word it’s what they have done. Whether it is just for a limited time I don’t know. I am still numb with shock to care.

€29.90 is the standard charge for their 1mb service.

Thanks Fred - where does it state this because we are paying 39,90 in the campo for "ADSL 24 H" Tarifa Plana Nacional

If I could find something to argue at them with it might help.
